Hi everyone im new to the site so sorry if i get any of it wrong i have bought a 2001 ducato 2.8 van that is part converted into a camper and i want to finish her of anyhows im game for a go but i need to sort the out side bits first but cannot find a workshop manual for them Anywhere any help greatly recieved. Hi & welcome See the download section of the forum (at the index of the ducato section) for the eLearn & DTE versions of the 244 model ducato. Both cover the JTD version of the 2.8 engines (& others) but not the TD or TDi engines. The eLearn is the latest & easiest version to use.

Ive been looking round for a manual for the engine & wiring but not had much success - the downloads on here all seem to be for the 2002 models onwards. My vehicle is an 02-plate ducato 10 1.9TD but according to my local fiat franchise was actually built August 2001. The GD10 manual lists 1998Bz 1997JTD 2300JTD and 2800JTD. Having only recently become acquainted with the ducato range I dont know what engines were available Hi Davren I dont know who originally put the 94-02 name on this DTE manual but it does not cover any of the engines from the 230 model. Im a newbie and have just bought a LHD 1999 Hymer motorhome E650 on a fiat 2.8 ducato the owners manual ( in fact evrything ) is in German because Its had one owner from new and he bought it in Germany. Im just about to fit a new head gasket to my ducato but cant find the head bolt torque settings can anyone help cheers I dont have a shop manual for the ducato but that doesnt seem correct to me Why would you tighten to 60Nm on the first cycle & then tighten to 60 again.by doing this your achieving barely nothing I think IMHO that this means another 60Nm on top of the first 60 In addition 60Nm in old money is only 44Lb Ft.the sort of figure on a 50cc moped engine. I would suggest conformation from an agent before. I bought a HYMER 564 a few weeks ago on a ducato 1991 I had a few years ago had the same model ducato under a KON-TIKI I didt have any problems with that so I assumed this would be the same. (I should add at this point that every thing since then has been AUTOMATIC). The top Automatic didnt come until 2001 youd probably have to swap the entire front struts hubs brakes subframe etc. Been searching ebay for one of those workshop cds for a ducato 2.8idTD 1999 van. Seen loads of cds but all seem to be for the 2002 model onwards.

Hi Can anyone tell me if a 2001 2.8Jtd has a diagnostic socket anywhere and if so what type ODB2 etc Or the locations of the fuse boxes I have found the one in the glove box and 2 fuses under the bonnet next to some relays any other main ones Like the one that controls the injector light on the dashboard Thanks Eamonn little centre slot to get a finger nail in to open ) with tangs holding the bottom It is located behind there & is an OBD2 connection as far as I am aware. There are also fuses located behind the dash panels located at each lower end of the dashboard directly below the airventssmall trays - the ones with the 2 x phillips screws on the top of the panels.
Do you not have the owners manual for the ducato. Hello thanks for the great site and info its been very helpful. I have search through the threads but i can not find an answer to my problem. I have a ducata 2.8 51 plate van 5 gear which has a gear problem. First it wouldnt go into 3rd gear and now it wont go into 2nd gear it is also difficul to get out of reverse now. While trying to get it out of reverse the gear knobsping etc came of in my hand. 51 plate is 2001 they changed gearboxes and clutch mechanism in mid 2001 we dont know which one you have secondly you say you have the 2.8 is that 2.8d 2.8idtd 2.8jtd boxes are different.
