I have recently started studying statistical mechanics (stat mech) in my spare time. I have taken an undergraduate class (senior level) on this in the applied physics department so I have some knowledge about this, but the book I have bought, and now follow, is from a graduate stat mech physics class (taught here at Cornell) with some other, new, insights on this.
In particular, I am using, and recommending, the book:. So, in this post I will provide answers and hints to the exercises in the book as I go along. I am trying to complete as many exercises as possible but also still get through the material in the time I have allotted for this.
